PARASCAPE: MAPPING MOTION

The data about our everyday activities available through our mobile devices has exciting potential to inform design. This project explored the visualization of this data through Grasshopper. We used a pedometer app to track our movements for a month and then used Grasshopper to interpret and visualize this data.

This experimental project has exciting potential to inform landscape architecture, from measuring people’s speeds of motion through different parts of a city, to mapping a proposed path through a landscape by simply walking through a site.
